Experience the raw power of the African wilderness on this classic Kenya safari, centred around the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Watch the Great Migration river crossings, track the Big Five across endless golden plains, and spend a final morning in Amboseli with iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. All our safaris are offered as private trips, starting on any day.
Depart Nairobi in the morning for the Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5 hours by road, or 45 minutes by light aircraft). Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the sweeping Mara plains.
The Masai Mara is Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve, home to the Big Five and the annual spectacle of over 1.5 million wildebeest crossing the Mara River. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and buffalo roam freely across the golden grasslands.

Accommodation options: Mara Serena Safari Lodge | Basecamp Masai Mara | Mahali Mzuri (Richard Branson's camp)
A full day dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara. Start with an early morning game drive at sunrise when predators are most active. Return to camp for breakfast, then head back out for an afternoon drive to the Mara River crossing points.
Your experienced guide will read the movements of the wildebeest herds and position you at the best vantage point for a river crossing — one of nature's most dramatic events. Massive Nile crocodiles patrol the murky waters as thousands of animals leap in.

Venture into the Olare Motorogi or Mara North Conservancy, private wildlife areas adjoining the reserve where off-road driving and night game drives are permitted — offering sightings impossible inside the national reserve.
These conservancies support some of the densest big-cat populations in Africa. Your guide will track resident lion prides, cheetah coalitions, and elusive leopards resting in the acacia trees. Optional bush walk with a Maasai guide is available.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Morning game drive followed by departure to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4–5 hours by road). Arrive in the afternoon for a sunset game drive across the Amboseli basin.
Amboseli is famous for its large free-ranging elephant herds and unrivalled views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the plains. The park is also home to buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, and a rich variety of bird life around the wetland swamps.
