8 Days / 7 Nights · Best Success Rate
The Lemosho Route is widely considered the best route on Kilimanjaro — offering the most pristine wilderness experience, the best acclimatization profile, and the highest summit success rate. Starting from the remote western side, the route passes through untouched rainforest and moorland before joining the Machame Route at Lava Tower.
With 8 days the Lemosho Route allows for gradual altitude gain and multiple "climb high, sleep low" opportunities. You'll cross the entire mountain from west to east, experiencing every ecological zone in spectacular fashion.
Long drive to Lemosho Gate on the western side of the mountain. Short hike through pristine rainforest to first camp.

Lemosho Gate is the most remote start point on Kilimanjaro — you'll often see no other climbers for the first two days. Pure wilderness.
Absolutely. We recommend a 4–5 day safari after your climb, or arrange it before for a complete Tanzania experience.
